Winter Driving: Rally Driver Explains Different Drivetrain Options

With frigid temps gripping large parts of the nation, winter driving is a hot topic right now.

Already this season, we’ve posted about the importance of winterizing your car, and getting proper winter tires. But we just stumbled across this great guide to how different drivetrains handle the snow, so if you’re curious about what you should be looking for in your next vehicle, it’s definitely worth watching.

The host is Wyatt Knox of Team O’Neil Rally School, and when he isn’t tearing up rally circuits, he’s teaching students the ins and outs of technical rally driving at the New Hampshire facility. We actually got the opportunity to check out the school while we were on the AMSOIL American Adventure Rally a couple years back — and it was a total blast. So it’s safe to say he knows what he’s talking about.

Of course, no matter which drivetrain you think best fits your needs, your local AutoNation dealer has it! Whether you’re looking for a luxurious crossover like the Lexus RX, a burly off-roader like the Ford Raptor,  a family friendly, go-anywhere people mover like the Subaru Forester, or anything in between, we’ve got you covered!
