The new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu is scheduled to be unveiled at the 2015 New York Auto Show on April 1st. Following the first teaser, Chevrolet has now released a video teaser showing the work that goes into making sure that the new Malibu can handle the world’s toughest roads.
“Although most Malibu owners will never put their car through similar abuse, we test all new vehicles in extreme climates, inclement weather and on punishing road surfaces,” said Dan Devine, Malibu validation engineer. “The 2016 Malibu is definitely up to these challenges.”
GM said that its engineers calculate the amount of damage potholes and other tough road conditions create over 150,000 miles. These conditions are then replicated at GM’s Milford Proving Ground where the new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu went under hours of testing
The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu will be available late in 2015.
