Happy 75th Anniversary Jeep!

The Jeep is seventy-five years old and still going strong. Back in the day, circa 1941 WWII, the military commissioned a “light reconnaissance vehicle,” to equip American soldiers at battle. ­­The Willy’s MB jeep was born. These Government or General Purpose vehicles were called GPs, which eventually morphed into “Jeep.” Just drop the two syllables of “GP” to the one syllable of “Jeep” and you see how this was a likely evolution.
