Official: Chevrolet confirms new eight-speed automatic for 2015 Corvette Stingray

Chevrolet officially announced to be offering the 2015 Chevrolet Stingray with an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission, designed and to be built in-house by GM’s own transmission facility in Toledo, Ohio. Chevrolet announced a new feature for the latest 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray: a new Performance Data Recorder integrated entirely into the car. The system records high-definition video with telemetry displayed in a heads-up style overlay. Think Gran Turismo or Forza with all the information in your face.
