Sun-sational 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Convertible

Mercedes-Benz makes amazing cars; we all know this. And, as such, we expect amazing things from their newest creation, the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 convertible.

In response to the need for more open-air, powerful, and opulent machines, the geniuses over at the AMG labs created the C63 and C63 S (a zanier variant). The performance-oriented convertible will feature Mercedes-Benz’s now famous AMG-tinkered, Biturbo engine.

The 2017 C63’s 4.0L Biturbo V8 engine will achieve 469 horsepower and 479-lb.ft. of torque, propelling this classy convertible from zero to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Whereas the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 S will get tuned to put out 503 horsepower and 516-lb.ft. of torque, giving it a 4.0-second zero to 60 sprint.

While the C63 is electronically limited to 155 mph, the 2017 C63 S allows drivers to go up to 174 before the electronic limiter kicks in. Mated to both 4.0L versions is an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed MCT transmission and features Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ modes for dynamic and customized ride.

The ‘biturbo’ stands for the two turbochargers positioned between the ‘V’ in the cylinder banks. Advantages to using the ‘Hot inside V’ layout is optimal response with low exhaust emissions.

Of course, you’ll be getting a hand-crafted engine with an equally hand-crafted interior. High-grade materials and precision craftsmanship are utilized to create the luxurious interiors of the C63 and C63 S, including an IWC analog clock, MB-Tex with topstitching, and wing-like aluminum trim accents.
