The Easter Jeep Safari has been happening for over half a century, and recent years have seen Ma Mopar arriving to the event with a slew of amazing concept vehicles. Last year, we swooned over the Jeep Wagoneer Roadtrip, a 1965 Grand Wagoneer with a modern drivetrain and chassis, and this year, there’s a whole new crop of concepts to drool over.
Unsurprisingly, the all-new Gladiator is the focus of this year’s builds, and we think these factory customs provide some amazing examples of all the new pickup’s potential. Check all the out pictures below, and if you’re looking to start a build of your own, head to your local AutoNation Jeep dealer, as the battle-ready Gladiator will be in showrooms this month!
Jeep Wayout: Given the robust off-road capabilities of the Gladiator, it’s certain to be a favorite of the overlanding set, and with a cozy tent mounted above the bed, the Wayout has everything you’ll need to get a good night’s sleep while out in the wild.
Jeep Flatbill: The name of this concept is a nod to the flat brim caps often sported by extreme sports enthusiasts, and with a bold paint scheme and a cargo area optimized for dirt bikes, the Flatbill is sure to be a hit with that crowd!
Jeep Five-Quarter: Equal parts classic Jeep, Mad Max-inspired off-roader, and modern pickup, the Five-Quarter makes us think of the unofficial explanation for what Jeep stands for: Just Enough Essential Parts. Plus, it’s a convertible!
Jeep J6: On some of the enthusiast forums, some fans voiced disappointment that the Gladiator is only available with a four-door cab. So we expect the J6 to be a big hit, and think Jeep might be gauging the reception to see if a traditional two-door version would sell.
Jeep JT Scrambler: As anyone who has seen the pictures from a RADwood event knows, the ’80s are white-hot right now. And while the JT Scrambler’s color scheme harks back the the era of MTV and the Sony Walkman, the performance is 100% modern!
Jeep Gladiator Gravity: Like the climber graphic on the front clip implies the Gladiator Gravity is all about tackling rocks, and sports a ton of goodies from the Jeep Performance Parts division. We’re all about those awesome doors!
