The 2015 SEMA Show, going on now, highlights the best that original and specialty equipment manufacturers have to offer, with MOPAR bringing modified Dodges, Jeeps, and FIATs to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Fiat 500X Mobe
This suped-up version of Fiat’s 500X is named after the kite-surfing trick and is customized with MOPAR products available off-the-shelf, such as the Performance Cat-Back Exhaust. The exterior boasts a 18-inch cast aluminum concept wheels and concept Mopar roofrails, along with a Thuke roof rack and basket to haul all of your gear to the beach or desert dunes.
Design wise, the team at Mopar has given this 500X an Ivory pearl exterior accented with matte bronze paint. The exterior features ‘X’ stripe graphics while the interior eatures the 500X logo in matte bronze on the door sill guards.
Jeep Renegade Deset Hawk
Jeep’s Renegade has been kitted out with a selection of Mopar and Jeep performance parts, such as off-road rock rails and a skid plate from Jeep, and Mopar’s trailer hitch kit and roof rack. Adorning the hood is the Jeep Performance Part decal showcasing the ‘Fin and Things’ Moab trail.
The interior has been designed with Mopar Katzkin seat covers, body color accents and Mopar’s all-weather floor mats. Also included are custom 17-inch wheels and Falken 215/65/R17 tires, and a cargo tray.
Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Responder
Emergency Responders don’t just give up because the terrain gets tough, they merely get the correct gear to get the job done. Jeep has delivered that gear to SEMA with the Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Responder, meant as a concept support vehicle for emergency responders. The cargo box has built-in drawers and storage compartments for Snap-On tools and emergency response gear, such as a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and more.
To take all this to the emergency, Jeep has outfitted this Wrangler with 37-inch BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2 tires, a 4-inch lift kit, a cold air intake, JPP D60 Front and Rear Axles with 5.8 gear ration, and a big brake kit. It’s powered by Jeep’s 3.5L Pentastar V6 engine. Emergency responders may be rushing to a job, but they’ll be doing it in Mopar Katzkin red and black leather seats, and Jeep Performance headrests, accent bezels, handles and all-weather floor mats.
2016 Challenger GT AWD Concept and Mopar Drag Pack
Dodge brought out two Challengers to customize into heavy hitters for SEMA. The Challenger GT AWD concept is a V8 muscle car, with the Scat Pack 3 kit adding an additional 77-horsepower, ready for any kind of weather. It’s wide body kit includes front splitter, rear spoiler, rear valance and side sill. Though, the GT AWD’s real eye catcher (other than the engine) is the wide wheel flares showing off the 20-inch, five-spoke concept wheels.
The Challenger Drag Pak concept protects the driver with an NHRA approved roll cage while the naturally aspirated 426 loaded with performance goodies gets the driver from city roads to down track in the drag lanes. This drag-ready monster has been improved from tires to top, including improved front and rear suspension with Strange Engineering axles, shocks and struts, and engine modifications across the board. Unlike many of the others, you can actually purchase the Drag Pak at your local AutoNation Dodge dealership!
