It’s time for the Mazda CX-5 vs Hyundai Santa Fe! Both the Mazda and Hyundai are strong competitors in a red-hot segment, and our video takes a look at the engines, cabins, infotainment, and price to determine a winner.
Fortunately, we’ve gotten to drive both the Mazda and the Hyundai extensively over the past few months, and can say both are great, well-rounded vehicles with lots to offer. So before we jump to the video, let’s have a brief preview of each vehicle.
After a week with the latest CX-5, AutoNation Drive’s Jeffrey N. Ross had this to say:
The latest 2019 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature solidifies the CX-5 as a top pick in this compact crossover segment. With this new engine and upscale trim level, the CX-5 Signature is an excellent excuse to overlook smaller crossovers from traditional luxury automakers; yes, the 2019 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature is actually nicer and sportier than small luxury SUVs.
High praise indeed! Head here to read his full review of Mazda’s latest CX-5.
Fittingly, Ross had plenty of time with Hyundai’s Santa Fe too, and he also found it to be a compelling choice:
Hyundai was relatively late to the game when it introduced the Santa Fe in 2001, but it’s impressive to see how far Hyundai’s best-selling CUV has come in less than 20 years. This fourth-gen model is still built in Montgomery, Alabama alongside the Hyundai Sonata and Elantra, and it adds even more style, technology and refinement.
Yup, Hyundai has sure come a long way over the past couple decades! Head here to read the full review!
Of course, you shouldn’t buy a car without a thorough test drive. So if you’re deciding between the Mazda CX-5 and the Hyundai Santa Fe, visit AutoNation.com to find a nearby dealer.
