Toyota has been pretty coy about releasing pics of its latest Supra, and even went to the extraordinary step of staging a “world debut” while the car was still wearing its testing camouflage.
It’s a move that left a lot of folks in the industry scratching their heads, and while we weren’t slated to get a full look at the next-generation sports car until the Detroit Auto Show next month, thanks to the folks at the Supra MKV forum, we already have it.
Because we want to give credit where credit is due, you’ll have to go to the forum to see the full image. But that said? We think it looks great.
Overall, it strikes a great balance between the FT-1 concept and the previous generation, and we can’t wait to see more of it. According to his profile, the member who posted the image is from Oklahoma, and works as a chef, so it’s not exactly clear where he got the shot.
Given that it shows the car in a shipping container, with the cover partially pulled off, it’s a good bet that the person who took it works in vehicle transportation, and this shows the car en route to Motor City.
We’ll have more shots of the new Supra when it hits the stage in Detroit, and you can expect to see it at your local AutoNation Toyota dealer this summer. For now, check out everything we’ve posted about the hotly anticipated sports coupe, and enjoy this little preview.
