Take a Look at the Latest Android Auto: Video

Over the last few years, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have become a key focus for buyers. So back in March, we did a video where we took a look at some of the best infotainment systems available at your local AutoNation dealer. And while we’re big fans of being able to stream music, get directions, and receive notifications, we think they offer improved safety too, because all that functionality comes in a package familiar to smartphone users.

In that feature, we took a look at the tech in the Acura RDX, the Mercedes-Benz S560, the Honda Pilot, the BMW X4, and the Ford Edge, and we think they all offer great options for tech-minded buyers.

But in the always progressing field of vehicle infotainment, there’s no time to stay stay complacent, and today, Google just released a new video showing off some of the updates the company has made to Android Auto. Some of the key improvements include support for bigger screens, a refreshed color palate, a new navigation bar, a streamlined user interface, and a faster, more seamless startup. You can read all about the updates on the official Google blog here.

The new system will be available on vehicles by the end of the summer. So if you’re looking for a demo, plan a visit to your local AutoNation dealer today!
