At the 2016 Paris Motor Show in September, Porsche introduced an all-new Panamera lineup powered by a hybrid system with an all-electric range up to 31 miles.
The new model, called the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, has a full EV mode which is limited to 86 mph, and a top speed of 172 mph when the powerhouse is unleashed.
Based off the hybrid technology from the Porsche 918 Spyder, the upcoming Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid will give additional energy to the engine with ‘E-Boost’ mode, activated by pressing the accelerator down more than 80-percent.
Connected to the hybrid system is a blazing quick 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission and an electric clutch actuator (ECA) giving the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid an unprecedented acceleration.
Porsche has combined a 2.9L twin-turbo V6 engine creating 330 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque with a 100kW electric motor producing 136 hp and 296 lb-ft of torque, to create 462 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque!
The all-new Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid smashes the plug-in hybrid sports sedan zero to 60 mph acceleration in a scant 4.4 seconds.
Access the infotainment system via the 12.3-inch touchscreen and utilize the Porsche Communication Management integration for smart phones, an AM and FM radio with HD tuning, and a premium sound system.
By integrating two configurable 7-inch displays on either side of the tachometer, Porsche allows drivers to have a customized driving experience.
