The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is scheduled to be officially unveiled at the New York Auto Show later this month. But now we have shots of the new crossover, and some updates on some of the latest specs.
While hot rod versions from Mercedes-AMG will feature more power and go-fast goodies, even standard models will get a 14 horsepower bump for 2020, bringing the output of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder up to a healthy 255 ponies. Torque remains the same, at 273 lb-ft, as does the nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
Thanks to Mercedes-Benz’s Pre Safe system there’s already lots of safety tech, like active brake assist and Attention Assist, a technology which monitors driver inputs to detect a drowsy driver. Previous versions of the GLC Coupe were also named Top Safety Picks by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, so buyers looking for peace on mind should feel comfortable considering this sporty, powerful crossover.
We’ll have more specifics on updates to the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe after the wraps come off in the Big Apple. But expect the 2020 to arrive at your local AutoNation-affiliated Mercedes-Benz dealer toward the end of the year. Until then, check out all the pictures!
