We think the Buick Regal Sportback looks just as good as entry-level offerings from Audi and the BMW. The coupe-like roofline and the five-door hatch layout really give this Buick a lot of expressive character. In our opinion, it also looks better than most of its rivals. The Buick Regal GS gets a few exclusive design elements that really make it stand out. Those elements include a sportier front and rear fascias, side skirts, a rear spoiler, standard 19-inch wheels, red Brembo brake calipers, and a Sport mesh grille with Piano Black finish.

Overall, the Buick, Holden, Opel, Vauxhall team should be really proud of what they designed here. Not to mention, we’re also fans of the Buick Regal TourX Wagon.

Now, unless you’re going for the M badge, BMWs don’t handle like the ultimate driving machines they used to. In order to cater to the mass market, BMW and others have opted for lighter steering to make for a more relaxed daily driver. Offerings from Audi tend to be a little sportier.
With that being said, the Buick Regal GS also opts for a light steering. It’s only a touch better than the standard Regal. But when you pop it in Sport or GS mode (Buick’s take on Sport+) the steering adds a little bit of weight for some impressive sports car handling. Surprisingly enough, there are no paddle shifters because Buick thinks those are gimmicky. Braking power is very potent thanks to the Brembo brakes calipers on the front. Also, let’s not overlook the fact that the Buick Regal GS has all-wheel-drive which most of its rivals offer at a premium.
