The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of our favorite SUVs on the market for those that like to be outdoors – however, if you’re one that has a more active lifestyle than average, then the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk may satisfy your needs. Making its debut at the 2016 New York Auto Show, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk joins the Renegade Trailhawk and Cherokee Trailhawk in Jeep’s lineup.
While you do get a bunch of visual enhancements to give the appearance of a meaner and tougher SUV, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is more than capable when it comes to upgraded technical equipment. The model features an updated version of Jeep’s air suspension along with Jeep’s Quadra-Drive 4×4 system with a rear electronic limited-slip differential.
The approach angle for the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk comes in at 29.8 degrees, but with the removable lower front fascia that angle is increased to a nice 36.1 inches. Other features that will help you go off-road with more confidence include Selec-Speed Control with Hill Ascent Control, an anti-glare hood and skid plates.
On the inside, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk comes standard with an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system that features additional displays that show wheel articulation and other vehicle 4×4 features.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will arrive in AutoNation Jeep showrooms later this year and will be available in seven exterior colors including Redline Red, Billet Silver, Bright White, Rhino, Granite Crystal, Velvet Red and Diamond Black Crystal.
