2016 Lexus ES 300h Specs

Lexus really has a winning lineup of refined vehicles with spirited performance. This desire to produce quality vehicles has, naturally, extended the 2016 Lexus ES 300h. This full-size sedan offers the spirited performance of many Lexus vehicles, while still being an eco-friendly hybrid.

Joining the other six hybrid models in the Lexus lineup, the 2016 ES 300h starts at an MSRP of $40,920* and has only one trim level, though optional features are an additional charge.

The exterior looks of the 2016 Lexus ES 300h take design cues from the unobtainable halo car, the Lexus LFA. Front fascia highlights offer more aggressive styling, with newly redesigned Lexus spindle grille taking front and center. The chrome-trimmed grille offers style while the LED headlights on either side of it offer illumination for the road ahead.

Well-defined body lines lead your eyes past machine-finished 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels toward the newly redesigned rear bumper with L-themed taillights. Four new exterior colors are available on the 2016 Lexus ES 300h: Autumn Shimmer, Nightfall Mica, Eminent White Pearl, and Caviar (a deep black with metallic flake which glints in the sunlight).

On the inside, Lexus has appointed the 2016 ES 300h with new, premium finishes and materials, including Linear Dark Mocha wood, Illustrious Piano Black wood, Bamboo with a matte finish, and a new Flaxen interior color choice. The exceedingly comfortable interior sports soft-touch finishes and offers 10-way power driver and passenger seating, including lumbar for both.

The Ultra Luxury package features wood trim interior, driver and passenger memory seats with heated and ventilated functionality, power rear sunshade and manual door sunshades, a power cushion extender under the driver’s knees, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, and a heated wood and leather steering wheel sporting buttons for audio, calls, cruise control, and driver information cluster controls.

Standard audio includes the Lexus Premium Audio system featuring Bluetooth calling and audio streaming, MP3 capability, USB plug, and 3-months of Sirius satellite radio. Optional packages include a Mark Levinson audio system and the Navigation system, featuring a backup camera, 8-inch VGA screen, voice commands, Single DVD/CD player, Lexus Enform app suite, and more.

2016 Lexus ES 300h Performance

The 2016 Lexus ES 300h offers power from a 2.5L Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine connected to an electric motor and battery bank for a combined 200 horsepower. Lexus has enabled the 2016 300h to utilize the gas engine or electric motor alone, or in tandem. Driving modes include Normal, Sport, Eco, and Full EV. Mated to the engine is an electronic continuously variable transmission for smooth acceleration.

EPA-estimated fuel economy lands at 40 mpg city, 39 mpg highway, and 40 mpg combined**.
