Following its concept debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show, the 2017 Lincoln Continental is making its production debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show this week. The flagship sedan returns with a complete new design inside and out along with new powertrains and technology.
“The Continental name has long been associated with the ultimate in Lincoln beauty and luxury,” said Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln. “With the all-new model, we are focusing on creating more human, personally tailored experiences for our clients – providing what we call quiet luxury.”
The design of the 2017 Lincoln Continental launches a new modern signature design for the brand highlighted by a new grille and an athletic design. On the inside, the Lincoln Continental ushers in a new quality built and elegant design including leather seating, leather-wrapped console and instrument panel, unique stitching, genuine wood or aluminum trims. Rear passengers can enjoy luxury amenities with audio and climate controls, sunshades, and reclining, heated, cooled and massaging seats.
Power for the 2017 Lincoln Continental comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine making 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The new Lincoln Continental is also available with an all-wheel-drive system that is paired with Dynamic Torque Vectoring that allows for dynamic driving with torque transferring on demand.
The 2017 Lincoln Continental will go on sale this fall. Stay tuned for pricing and availability details.
