Along with the all-new BMW M2, the German automaker came to the 2016 Detroit Auto Show with the new 2016 BMW X4 M40i. Now while the BMW X4 is already a pretty impressive sports activity vehicle, the X4 M40i promises to offer even more high-performance thrills thanks to a more powerful engine.
BMW M engineers took the M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology to their inline 6-cylinder engine and extracted a total of 355 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque. That will allow the BMW X4 M40i the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 150 mph.
Design-wise the BW X4 M40i features a more aggressive exterior with M Performance specification and features BMW ConnectedDrive and intelligent xDrive.
Sales will begin in February 2016 with prices starting at $57,800*.
