2015 Detroit: Lexus GS F to make 467 horsepower

Lexus has announced that it will be unveiling a high-performance version of the GS sedan at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show next week. The all-new Lexus GS F Sedan will go head-to-head with the likes of the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and the Cadillac CTS-V.

Power for the Lexus GS F will come from a 5.0 liter V8 engine making 467 horsepower and 389 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with manual-shifting capabilities.

“The GS F unibody will also feature structural reinforcements and suspension exclusively designed to optimize this super sedan’s handling envelope without detracting from its ride quality,” Lexus said in a statement. “Drivers will appreciate the GS F’s handling and smoothness on the open highway as well as the sedan’s ability to devour challenging roads, whether they’re winding up the side of a mountain or at a racetrack.”
