2017 Genesis G80Head to Heads & Advice

Why You’ll Love the 2017 Genesis G80

The car formerly known as the Hyundai Genesis is now the 2017 Genesis G80 and is creating quite a name for itself in its reinvention. With the new name comes additional standard features that were once optional, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. But these aren’t the only reasons why you’ll love the 2017 Genesis G80.

As for the now-standard features that once came at an extra cost, the list includes: blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and a power-adjustable steering wheel. There’s also a larger touchscreen, measuring in at 9.2 inches.

Hyundai’s more refined, well-heeled, and sophisticated midsized sedan sister is available in two models: a 3.8 trim level with a V6 engine, and a Genesis G80 5.0 model, which comes equipped with a mighty V8. Both come in rear-wheel-drive, and with AWD as an option for the 3.8 G80. Both come mated to an eight-speed automatic that features shift paddles on the steering wheel.

Hyundai didn’t skimp on the performance of the G80 luxury sedan. The Genesis G80 3.8’s V6 produces 311-hp with 293 lb-ft of torque, while the G80’s V8 kicks out 420-hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. We like the G80 while we’re riding, and you will, too. The interior has ample room for head clearance and stretching out, with premium materials that are well-constructed. Staying occupied and comfortable during both short and long distance journeys is certain with features that come standard like leather upholstery, eight-way adjustable front seats that are also heated, driver’s seat lumbar support, and all the right audio and media components are in place: including a CD player with satellite and HD radio that can be blasted across seven speakers.

Additional reasons why you’ll love the 2017 Genesis G80 include: your car’s exterior tools and safety features. There are xenon headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, auto dimming mirrors, dual-zone climate control, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and keyless ignition and entry. The list does not stop there either. Get to your local AutoNation-affiliated dealer to try out the 2017 Genesis G80 today.
