Last month, we saw Chevrolet introduce the commercial-spec 2019 Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD. They followed close on the heels of the consumer model Silverado 1500, which bowed right at the beginning of the year. But the company isn’t done with new trucks just yet, as it just announced we can look forward to a new Silverado HD in early 2019.
In the press release announcing the move, Chevy identified that it’s already got three major areas of the truck spectrum covered with the basic 1500, from base (Work Truck), to better (LT), to bling (High Country). But the Silverado HD — meaning Heavy Duty — is surely going to up even the High Country in the bling department, and put drivers on a baller level. And while we don’t have any specifics on price, we’d bet most AutoNation customers are going to option these babies close to the 100k mark, just as they do with arch-rival Ford’s competitor in the segment, the super-lux F-450 limited.
So if you’re in the market for a true “cowboy Cadillac,” you might want to — pardon the pun — hold your horses, until these babies start arriving at your local AutoNation Chevy dealer next year. Stay tuned for more news on the 2019 Chevy Silverado HD.
