Official: General Motors reveals new Ecotec engine family for the world

General Motors globally announced a new line of 11 Ecotec three- and four-bangers for the world to use. The first production units will begin arriving in Opel Adams and Chinese-bound Chevrolet Cruze models. Displacement ratings for all of the Ecotec motors range from 1.0 to 1.5L with natural-aspiration and turbocharging variants available. Figures range from 75-165hp and 70-184 lb-ft of torque.
