On December 16th, two teams will take to the field at Camping World Stadium in Orlando to battle in the NCAA AutoNation Cure Bowl. Nine-year-old Roman Artero, who will be front and center at the game, knows a little something about battling too! Roman was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at just three and a half, and after years of chemotherapy and extensive cancer treatment that robbed him of a normal life, Roman has been in remission for two years. Today, he’s determined to experience life to its fullest!
As a part of AutoNation’s Drive Pink Initiative, Roman and his dad will be presented with an enhancement to his upcoming wish through Make-A-Wish Southern Florida for a once-in-a lifetime weekend at the AutoNation Cure Bowl. They will receive tickets to a pregame concert by multi-platinum recording artist Andy Grammer, VIP Cure Bowl field passes, seats at the big game, tickets to Universal Studios and a two-night hotel stay.
Here are a few fun facts about Roman:
- Roman’s favorite color is blue. He likes to eat pizza, spaghetti, and French fries!
- Roman’s hobbies include video games, go-karting, and soccer, but his special passion is anything FOOTBALL!
On behalf of the AutoNation Family, we can’t wait to welcome Roman to the 2017 AutoNation Cure Bowl!
