The BMW 5-Series has evolved to become a rather large and ungainly vehicle in comparison to 5-Series of the past, losing some of the “sports car in an unassuming German saloon” charm.
But that’s about to change for the next generation, back to the good ‘ol classic ways of BMW, as the next generation BMW 5-Series for 2016 will be going on a 220lb diet while getting sportier styling.
Though according to the report from AutoExpress, the changes shouldn’t be too radical and will still maintain the “premium appearance” with a few more hints of sportiness.
The usual mixture of four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines is expected.
