Arriving completely redesigned from the ground up as a 2010 model year, the second-generation Buick LaCrosse hasn’t received many upgrades since the last four model years. All that will change at the 2013 New York Auto Show later this week when GM debuts the redesigned and upgraded 2014 Buick LaCrosse.For the 2014 model year, the full-size LaCrosse sedan receives a bunch of new interior and exterior upgrades including a new front and rear end, a more contemporary interior with new seats, a redesigned instrument panel and console along with a new optional Ultra Luxury Interior Package.
New technological enhancements include a new radar- and camera-based safety features. These include Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Change Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Automatic Collision Preparation. Adaptive Cruise Control is also available.
“We evolved the interior and exterior design, increased luxury amenities and materials, and enhanced the safety and personal technologies to give customers more reasons than ever to rediscover Buick,” said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of Buick Marketing.
Powertrain wise, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse will be offered with two engine choices including a 2.4 liter with eAssist and a 3.6 liter V6. Each will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and will be offered with a front or all-wheel-drive setup.
Sales of the new 2014 Buick LaCrosse start this summer.
