Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Hybrid Delivers 680 Horsepower

Want more proof about how fast the performance landscape is changing? Look no further than Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid. This dead-hot wagon is officially the fastest in the Panamera lineup, and the numbers should make any enthusiast’s pulse quicken. Why? Because the Sport Turismo Hybrid generates a whopping 680 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque, which is good enough to deliver a zero-to-60 time of 3.2 seconds, and a 192-mph top speed.

It’s basically insanity wrapped in a practical family hauler, and we love it.

Now, it’s safe to say that many Porsche fans thought the lines — and particularly, the hindquarters —  of the original sedan were slightly undercooked. But from the time teaser images of the new wagon started circulating, the response from fans was rapturous, and we bet these babies are going to fly off the lots of your local AutoNation-affiliated dealers at a speed appropriate for the legendary marque. So if you’re looking to score one? We’d recommend getting on a list pronto.

Along with all the new-school grunt, Porsche has included plenty of other go-fast bits to ensure the latest Panamera stops and corners as well as it goes. So buyers can expect to find active aero, carbon-ceramic brakes and torque vectoring, along with 21-inch wheels and a trick three-chamber air suspension. And for times when efficiency is the name of the game? This beast will be able to travel an estimated 31 miles on electric power alone. Of course, like anything wearing a Porsche crest, it won’t be cheap. Pricing starts at nearly 190k, and we’re sure clicking some options boxes will make that already-elevated figure climb straight into the stratosphere.

At this point, we’re not exactly sure what kind of mileage we can expect out of this hot rod hybrid. But we expect it to be impressive — if you can manage to keep your foot out of the carpet.
