Lexus GS F and RC F 10th Anniversary Editions Coming

It’s been ten years since Lexus launched its F line of performance vehicles, and to celebrate, the company has announced it’s building 10th Anniversary Edition models of both its GS F sedan and sporty RC F coupe.

As you might expect, neither car will be cheap. Only 240 RC Fs will be coming stateside, and folks favoring the four-door GS F will have to compete for just 100 examples. Here’s the pricing breakdown from the official press release:

The GS F 10th Anniversary Edition is priced at $89,350, a $5,000 premium over the standard model. The RC F 10th Anniversary Edition is priced at $80,810, a $16,160 premium over the standard model. The total price includes the $9,000 10th Anniversary package in addition to the Performance Package, Triple Beam headlights and Intuitive Park Assist, options which are required.

We’ve had the opportunity to experience both of these vehicles on the track, and found them to be fast, capable machines which exhibit all the refined qualities Lexus is known for. The biggest differentiation from standard models will be the Nebula Gray matte paint, which looks great in the press photos, and is sure to look even better in person. We honestly don’t think Lexus gets enough credit for its cool paint codes, as some of its options — like Ultra Sonic Blue Mica — are just killer.

Along with the trick paint, both models will sport black BBS wheels wrapped in super-sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and blue Brembo brake calipers will be visible through the spokes. The interiors will also be unique for the model, and sport acres of blue leather. There will be a special embossed headliner for the coupe.

Under the hood, both models will feature the same naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8. It’s good for a healthy 467 horsepower, and comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. In an era where manufacturers are opting for turbos or superchargers, it’s worth noting that this mill sounds great — especially at higher revs. To help it put the power to the ground, each model will come equipped with the Performance Package, with includes a trick torque-vectoring rear differential, an active rear spoiler, and a carbon fiber roof.
