Jaguar’s first SUV has only been on sale since 2016, and since it’s arguably the best-looking vehicle in its class, it’s a little soon to expect a major refresh.
“While previous models topped out at a respectable 380 horsepower, the SVR spec version will have a whopping 550 horsepower on tap, courtesy of a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8.”
Of course, the folks at Coventry know that, but they still had something awesome up their sleeve, by way of the F-Pace SVR.
As you’d expect, the biggest difference between the SVR model and its tamer stablemates is under the hood. While previous models topped out at a respectable 380 horsepower, the hot rod version cranks it up considerably, and buyers who opt for SVR spec will have a whopping 550 horsepower on tap, courtesy of a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8.
That means this full-size SUV will make the zero-to-60 jump in a scant 4.1 seconds, and continue accelerating up to 176 mph.
For something with the approximate interior volume of a studio apartment, those are wicked numbers, and line up perfectly with Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons’ mandate that the company’s vehicles exemplify “grace, space, and pace.”
The F-Pace SVR is sure to be a hot seller when it hits your local AutoNation-affiliated Jaguar dealer, so if you’re interested in picking one up, we’d suggest getting on a list pronto.
