If you polled a set of enthusiasts about what their favorite childhood toys were, there’s no question that Legos would be high up on the list. Obviously, there’s no shortage of crazy vehicles kids young and old can construct from them, and in recent years, manufacturers have started to partner with the company to release licensed versions of iconic cars.
The latest company to get on the train is Dodge, which just released a pair of sets celebrating two classic muscle cars: the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon, and the 1970 Charger R/T.
Now, for those of you who are looking at a calendar and wondering why these are coming out in the first weekend of January, and not, say, in time for Christmas? We can’t help you. Because these seem like perfect stocking stuffers for the gearhead in your life, and dropping them now seems like a missed opportunity. That said, we’re sure fans are going to snatch them up regardless.
Fortunately, as cool as they look, putting them together isn’t going take the hours of the 7,500-piece Millennium Falcon, or the still-formidable Porsche 911 GTS RS, to assemble. So they’ll be able live on your desk without reminding you of painstaking labor.
They even come with a matching dragstrip Christmas tree. How cool is that? You can order yours from the official Lego store — just step on it, as these are limited edition sets.
To give the little Legos a proper introduction, Dodge put together a great little video featuring NHRA drag racing champion Leah Pritchett which you can watch below. But if the real thing is more your speed? Have no fear, as your local AutoNation Dodge dealer is ready to help you get your hands on a new Challenger.
