Back in 1984, the Chrysler Corporation started a revolution with the most unlikely of combatants. It introduced, into the newly created segment of minivans, a carbureted 96-horsepower, 2.2-liter four-cylinder. It went 0-60 mph in 14-seconds and took 256-feet to stop from 70 mph. It had the aerodynamics of a barn door and, if you actually put people in it, everything got worse. Yet as awful as it was, it managed to change the course of family motoring forever.
