It’s no secret that Porsche is banking heavily on electric cars. The storied German manufacturer recently announced — in preparation for its electric Mission E super sedan — a plan to put charging stations at all of its stateside dealerships. And recently, Stuttgart even hinted that we might soon see a hybrid version of its iconic 911 sports car. Now, further confirmation of its intentions comes via the Mission E Cross Turismo Concept which just dropped at the Geneva Motor Show.
If it looks familiar, you’ve been paying attention, as this baby is clearly a combination of the Mission E and the 2018 Panamera Sport Turismo, but with a stance rugged enough to tackle trails like a crossover. According to the specs, the electric powertrain will send 600 horsepower to all four wheels, which means 60 mph will arrive in just 3.5 seconds. Range is an impressive 300 miles, and charges will also be lightening quick, thanks to the 800-volt charging system. In 15 minutes, drivers will have as much as 80% percent capacity available.
