AutoNation SEMA Build: Find the Custom Parts at Your Local Dealer

Right now, the customization wizards at Flat 12 Gallery are getting our AutoNation SEMA build ready to ship out to Las Vegas for the show, and everyone is excited to get to Sin City. But while the crazy custom wrap our F-150 is wearing is a one-off deal, the other parts we’ve using to make our truck a showstopper will be soon be available at your local AutoNation dealer! So if you’ve been looking for a way to take your rig to the next level? We’ve got you covered.

For this build, we’ve tapped Auto Gear and some of our top-notch parts vendors to showcase their trick accessories, so as you can imagine, the list is a long one. The 3.5-inch lift from ReadyLift is taking things to a higher level, and the Grid wheels from Tire Rack made for an easy, bolt-on way to upgrade the appearance. But rest assured, we’re leaving no corner of our bad Blue Oval untouched.

To make sure it’ll rock the block, we’re installing a banging Alpine head unit and speakers from Rockford Fosgate in the cabin, and dropping Alpine’s In Cooler Entertainment System into the bed. Along with looking the business, this booming box will make sure any tailgate party will have a killer soundtrack. And since we want to make sure our F-150 looks as good as it sounds, we’ve got a laundry list of cool kits set to install on the exterior. A bull bar from Lund sets off the grille, and our friends at Westin Automotive have hooked us up with Thrasher running boards, an HDX rear bumper, a pair of LED auxiliary lights from Hyperq, and just for good measure, a 20-inch light bar. In case you were wondering, that means this beast will be able to turn night into day at the flick of a switch. To complete the look of the lighting, ANZO  has provided Switchback headlights, LED bars for the side of the cab, smoked rear brake light, and a sick set of black LED tail lights to tie everything together.

Of course, there’s plenty of function along with the form here. A cold air intake from K&N will help the 2.7-liter EcoBoost breathe better, and the MagnaFlow dual exhaust system will ensure a nice sound from the force-fed six-pot. Since one of the main reasons people buy trucks is to haul toys, we’re also adding Power Stop brakes which will scrub speed in a jiffy — regardless of what you’re carrying on the trailer. And speaking of hauling, we coated the bed with Ameraguard’s spray-in bedliner, which will keep even the toughest loads from digging past the paint.

Check out the photos to see the progress we’ve made on our AutoNation SEMA build, and make sure to take note of anything you’d like to see on your truck. These parts will be available through your local AutoNation dealer soon, so stay tuned for updates!
