Lemons on the Links is an event hosted by the Lemons of Love organization. Lemons of Love is a non-profit founded by Jill Swanson Peltier, a survivor of colon cancer. Lemons of Love creates, fills, and delivers chemotherapy care packages. These packages are then sent to local hospitals as well as to cancer patients nationwide to help support and relieve those suffering from cancer.
Lemons of Love and AutoNation welcome you to the second annual Lemons on the Links Golf Outing on Monday, September 18. It will be held at the Glen Flora Country Club in Waukegan, Illinois, with a 10 am shotgun start. Following the tournament will be a barbecue buffet, and then a day filled with contests, games, friends, and food. The goal this year is to deliver 4,000 chemotherapy care packages, and this event helps to move Lemons of Love towards that goal.
AutoNation is presenting sponsor for Lemons on the Links Golf Outing for the second consecutive year. Last year the event raised over $45,000. This year Lemons of Love hopes for it to be even bigger.
You’re invited! You don’t have to be an expert golfer to enjoy a day on the green. A team format will be used, so there’s no pressure to perform, and everyone benefits from great plays. Learn more by visiting the Lemons of Love website. Even if you can’t join in the festivities on September 18, there are other ways for you to participate and donate. Join AutoNation in its Drive Pink campaign to drive out cancer.
