AutoNation Cure Bowl Celebrates Three Years “Tackling Cancer”
On the field they may be adversaries, but off the field players from Western Kentucky and Georgia State joined forces for a common goal—to celebrate and honor those fighting breast cancer today, and those who may face it tomorrow. And while Georgia State won the game by a score of 27 to 17 in a hard-fought victory, the battle will truly be won when a cure for breast cancer is found once and for all.
In true Cure Bowl Spirit, AutoNation and the Orlando Sports Foundation presented a check for $3.3 Million to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and brave cancer survivors unveiled the AutoNation Drive Pink Quilt during halftime. The 24-foot quilt features more than 250 squares handmade by AutoNation Associates to recognize someone touched by cancer.
Also honored at the game was nine-year old cancer survivor Roman Artero, whose wish to attend the Cure Bowl was granted by AutoNation.
Kick off for AutoNation Cure Bowl #4 is December 15, 2018. Hope to see you there!
