AutoNation Chairman’s Answer the Call Award: Jo Dasher

As AutoNation drives its performance from good to great, we must recognize those who go the extra mile for our customers. This recognition program awards Associates for efforts which exceed their normal responsibilities and add significant value to the organization and our customers.

Jo Dasher is an e-Commerce Sales Associate with AutoNation Nissan Pembroke Pines. He was nominated by Jim Bender for his service concerning customer Marcus House. The customer’s note reads:

“It’s rare to encounter an employee who consistently excels in every area of customer service. When I found such an employee in Jo Dash, I felt it was important to reach out and commend him for his outstanding service. In 2014 Jo helped me find a reliable car for my son, Dalton. From the first encounter I had with Jo, he treated us with respect, courtesy, and the feeling that he genuinely cared. Six weeks later, Dalton was in a horrific car accident with multiple injuries and was lucky to be alive. The car was a complete loss but my son made a full recovery. In the days after the accident, Jo happened to call and check-up on how we were liking the car, after learning about Dalton’s accident, Jo went above and beyond the call of duty, showing sincere concern for my family and my son. He continued to check-up on Dalton in the weeks that followed. It has been almost 2 years and Jo continues to reach out. When my father was in the market for a new vehicle this year, I took him to Jo. Once again, Jo came to the rescue, spending the better part of the weekend arranging for the vehicle to be transported. He put life’s most valuable quantity back in our pockets – our time. Jo accomplished this while maintaining the highest level of customer service.”
