* 2019 Silverado will have six available engines

* Eight- and ten speed transmissions will be available

If you’re looking to get a 2019 Silverado, your local AutoNation Chevrolet dealer will offer more choices than ever. Of course, there will still be beefy 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8 mills available, but there will also be a new 2.7-liter four cylinder engine, which will be the most efficient engine in the line.
Like its arch rival the F-150, the Silverado will also be available with a new diesel option, as the turbocharged 3.0-liter Duramax will start shipping early next year.
While the next-gen version of the General’s most popular truck is bigger than the outgoing model, use of lightweight materials allowed engineers to shave a whopping 450 pounds off the curb weight. And while the EPA ratings haven’t been announced yet, that savings — along with a slipperier aerodynamic profile — should allow every version of the Silverado to fare better at the pump.
We should be getting behind the wheel of the 2019 Silverado in the next couple months, so stay tuned for our review!
