We’ve said it before, and unless there’s some kind of immediate, dramatic shift in America’s car-buying habits, we’re surely going to say it again: Crossovers are hot. And while some enthusiasts might be less than thrilled at the prospect of parking one in their garage, the fact remains that these versatile vehicles are popular for a reason. Because while a raised ride height isn’t going to do you any favors at the autocross, it’s great for visibility when you’re navigating traffic, and the acres of cargo space means there’s always room for a Costco run. On that notes, we recently spent a week with the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL and found that while it might not be as flashy as some of its competitors, it provides a quite a bit of bang for the buck.
Along with all-wheel drive, our test model also featured a large moonroof, leather seats, and third-row seating, so it was hardly stripped down. Watch our video review below, and if you’re interested, head to your local AutoNation Mitsubishi dealer to arrange a test drive!
