Last year at the 2016 New York Auto Show, Lincoln blew away the media and show goers with the new Navigator Concept. After making rounds on the auto show circuit, the all-new production version 2018 Lincoln Navigator is making its debut at the 2017 New York Auto Show.
“Quiet luxury is both a look and a feeling,” says Kumar Galhotra, president, The Lincoln Motor Company. “The all-new Navigator embodies both. The sleek styling, spacious interior and technology are all designed to make each trip effortless.”
Taking on the likes of the Cadillac Escalade, Infiniti QX80, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS, the new Lincoln Navigator comes to the market with some cutting edge technologies including 360-degree camera and enhanced park assist, wireless charging, standard Wi-Fi, Standard SYNC 3 infotainment with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an optional Android-based rear-seat entertainment system, heated and cooled massaging seats, an optional Revel Ultima audio system with 20 speakers, and much more.
Lincoln is taking rear-seat entertainment quite seriously and has inked a deal with Sling Media which allows those who own a Slingbox to access their TV channels on the go.
“When designing the Navigator, we put an emphasis on ultra-luxury touch points,” says David Woodhouse, Lincoln design director. “We took everything the client would see and touch, and made sure it would look and feel a little more exuberant, a little more indulgent and incredibly beautiful.”
The 2018 Lincoln Navigator is powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine that is projected to produce an outstanding 450 horsepower and will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Despite the debut of the production Lincoln Navigator and all the details which the company has revealed, Lincoln has yet to confirm when the new model will go on sale. We’re expecting it to hit roads at the end of 2017, but we’ll have official details coming up very soon.
