Next month at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the all-new 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will make its world debut. The next-generation C-Class Coupe will arrive at U.S. dealers in the Spring of 2016 with a sporty yet elegant exterior and interior.
For the 2017 model year, the C-Class Coupe embodies lightweight construction design, improved aerodynamics, an upgraded chassis, with an optional air suspension for a more comfortable ride quality. According to Mercedes-Benz, handling and driving pleasure have also been vastly improved.
“Our new C-Class Coupe continues the philosophy of our exciting coupes,” Prof. Dr. Thomas Weber, member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and responsible for Group Research and Mercedes-Benz Cars Development. “It combines thrilling design with agile sportiness and modern luxury. The C-Class Coupe therefore clearly pledges itself to stylish driving enjoyment.”
As you can see from the photos, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupes takes a majority of its design cues from the new C-Class Sedan along with strong hints from the S-Class Coupe on the rear-end. The 2017 C-Class Coupe sits on a wheelbase that is 3.1 inches longer than the outgoing model and is 3.7 inches longer and 1.6 inches wider. The increased measurements also increase interior volume with more space for front and rear passengers.
The 2017 C-Class Coupe also features a range of standard equipment including LED headlamps, PRE-SAFE KEYLESS START, Sport Suspension and a Panorama Sunroof. The available Sport Appearance Package offers visual upgrades including AMG bodykit, a diamond radiator grille with pins in chrome and 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, a sports steering wheel with flattened bottom section and AMG sports pedals. Along with the optional AIRMATIC air suspension, the DYNAMIC SELECT mode selector allows the driver to pick from five driving styles including ECO, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
When the new C-Class goes on sale in Spring of 2016 it will be available as a C300 and will be powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbo engine making 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Other variants will be added later in the future.
