The new 2016 MINI Cooper Convertible, otherwise simply known as MINI Convertible, is packed with improvements including BMW engineered performance, a more spacious cabin, a quality interior, and a stylish exterior. There is no doubt the new MINI lineup is better looking than ever before. The 2016 MINI Cooper Convertible follows that design theme with a redesigned exterior that’s a perfect balance of sport, luxury, and style. While the overall silhouette is every bit of MINI you have come to love and expect, the redesigned headlamps, tail lights, and grille give the new MINI classier characteristics.

Also like all other MINI models, the new 2016 MINI Cooper Convertible focuses on giving you the most unique car with a choice of 11 exterior paint options that include the new and popular Caribbean Aqua.

Size-wise, the 2016 MINI Cooper Convertible sits on a wheelbase that measures 98.2 inches with the length coming in at 151.1 inches for the Cooper and 151.9 inches for the Cooper S. The width of the new MINI Cooper Convertible comes in at 68 inches and the height comes in at 55.7 inches. Those measurements make this car quite nimble and fun to drive, as is the case with all of MINI’s outstanding lineup.

One of the most interesting exterior features is the three-in-one roof combo. Unlike conventional convertibles, the MINI Cooper Convertible’s soft-top has a half-open setting that allows you to treat the car like a panoramic sunroof. There is also a new a Rain Warner feature that is a part of the Journey Mate trip app from MINI that warns you to close your top if there is inclement weather in your area.

Most convertibles are binary: open or closed. But our soft-top also has a half-open setting you can adjust while traveling at any speed – like a panoramic sunroof.

While staying true to its MINI heritage, the MINI Cooper Convertible grows up with a more stylish exterior that will definitely make you look twice. When compared to its competitors like the Volkswagen EOS and others, the MINI Cooper Convertible is one of the best-looking convertibles on the market in this price range.
